In one to two sentences, explain the difference between raster data and vector data

Raster data is made up of a grid of pixels and is used to represent continuous data such as satellite imagery, while vector data uses points, lines, and polygons to represent discrete objects and is commonly used for representing features such as roads and buildings.

Differentiate between environmental determinism and possibilism, and explain which theory you find more convincing. If neither theory is convincing to you, explain why

Environmental determinism is the theory that human behavior and cultural development are solely determined by the environment and its physical and climatic conditions, while possibilism suggests that human culture and behavior are influenced by the environment but are not entirely determined by it, and that humans have the ability to adapt and modify their environment. While both theories have their merits, I find possibilism more convincing as it acknowledges the role of human agency and the potential for adaptation and innovation, rather than solely attributing human behavior to environmental forces.

Raster data is composed of a grid of pixels and is best used for representing continuous data like satellite imagery, while vector data uses points, lines, and polygons to represent discrete data like roads and boundaries.
