In one to two sentences, explain the difference between raster data and vector data.(2 points)

Raster data represents images or data as a grid of pixels, while vector data represents graphics or data as a sequence of mathematical equations and coordinates.

Differentiate between environmental determinism and possibilism, and explain which theory you find more convincing. If neither theory is convincing to you, explain why.(2 points)

Environmental determinism is the belief that the physical environment is the primary factor shaping human behavior and cultural development, while possibilism states that although the environment can influence human society, humans have the ability to adapt and modify their environment. Personally, I find possibilism more convincing as it recognizes the agency and adaptability of human beings in shaping their own destiny, rather than being completely limited by their environment.

Raster data is made up of individual pixels and is used to represent continuous data, such as satellite imagery. Vector data uses points, lines, and polygons to represent discrete features, such as roads or cities, allowing for more precise and scalable data representation.
