In three to five sentences, explain why recyclable does not necessarily equate to renewable. Give examples to support your explanation. (4 points)

Pls make it three sentences and sound like a fifth grader pls

Just because something can be recycled doesn't always mean we can make more of it. Some things are just getting used up and won't come back. Like metal cans, we can recycle them, but the metal is still being taken from the earth and eventually there won't be any more to use. So, recycling is important but it's not the same thing as having a never-ending supply of something.

You're welcome!

Recyclable and renewable are different because recyclable means something can be used again after being processed, like plastic bottles. But renewable means something can be naturally replaced or regrown, like trees. For example, while plastic bottles can be recycled, they are not renewable because making new plastic requires using more oil, which is a non-renewable resource. In contrast, materials like paper made from trees are both recyclable and renewable because new trees can be planted to replace the ones used.
