In three to five sentences, explain why recyclable does not necessarily equate to renewable. Give examples to support your explanation.

Recyclable refers to materials that can be collected and converted into new products. Renewable refers to resources that can be replenished in a short period of time and used again. This means that while recyclable materials can be reused, they may not necessarily come from renewable sources. For example, plastic can be recycled, but it is made from non-renewable fossil fuels. In contrast, materials like bamboo and paper are both recyclable and renewable as they come from rapidly growing plants that can be replanted and regrown.
