The question asks about your cultural history. Is it white -- northern European, southern European, eastern European? Or are you African-American -- with most of your ancestors from Africa? Or are you Arabic? Asian? Latina?

How can the country best prepare for the changing race and ethnicity of its current and future citizens?
The course you're taking apparently is aimed at helping students learn about the race, culture, and ethnicity of other Americans. Is that a good way to prepare for the future?
In my opinion, Americans took a big step toward preparing for a variety of ethnic and racial mixtures by the election of Barack Obama as President. It's amazing to me and many others that the nation is counting on a man of mixed race to help the country out of a deep recession and to upgrade our image around the world.
What else would you suggest to prepare for the mixture of races and cultures we'll see in the next 40 years?
