a textbook has 2,000 g mass/ 4,000 cm to the 3rd pwr what is the density
how do you figure this out I went home sick today and this is the homework I missed in class today. Can anybody tell me how to do this I have a work sheet on how to figure mass density and volume.
Its due tomorrow
The formula for density is mass ÷ volume, or Mass divided by Volume.
For example:
2000g ÷ 4000cm³ = .5 g/cm³
The end unit, [in this case, g/cm³] is the unit of mass [in this case, grams], slash, unit of volume [in this case cm³]. This would make the unit g/cm³.
Hope this helps and get well soon :]

To find the density of the textbook, you need to divide the mass by the volume. Here's how you can solve it:
1. Identify the given values:
- Mass of the textbook = 2,000 g
- Volume of the textbook = 4,000 cm³
2. Use the formula for density:
Density = Mass / Volume
3. Substitute the given values into the formula:
Density = 2,000 g / 4,000 cm³
4. Simplify:
Divide 2,000 g by 4,000 cm³ to get the density value.
Note: If your worksheet requires the answer in a specific unit, ensure that the units match or convert them accordingly.
For example, if you need the answer in g/cm³, the density would be:
Density = 2,000 g / 4,000 cm³
= 0.5 g/cm³
Remember to double-check the units and the significant figures required for your specific assignment.
