The interior dimensions of a chest are 4 feet length, 2 feet width and 3 feet height. How many 1-foot cubes could fit in the chest?
1 answer
For this problem, all you have to do is find the volume of the chest. The formula for the volume of a rectangle is V=l*w*h. In this case V=4*2*3 which is 24 ft cubed. This means that 24 1x1x1 ft cubes would fit inside the chest.
