Rhetorical devices are used:
a) To embellish a sentence or statement by adding further information.
b) To demonstrate that the ideas under discussion have the same level of importance.
c) To add clarity and precision to writing; it allows the writer to stop, pause, or give emphasis to certain parts of the sentence.
d) to enable the speaker to anticipate the listeners' concerns and then address them within the context of his own speech.
e) To convey meaning or to persuade. It can also be a technique used to evoke emotions within the reader or audience.
