It is recommended to take the morning after pill as soon as possible after having unprotected sex to help prevent pregnancy. It is most effective when taken within 72 hours of having sex, but the sooner it is taken, the better. Remember to also consider other forms of birth control to prevent future instances of needing emergency contraception.
