Flexadecimal is a numeral system created by John Conway in 1961 as an extension to the conventional hexadecimal system. In flexadecimal, the digits represent the numbers 0-15, as in hexadecimal, but it also includes new symbols to represent the numbers 16-255. This allows for a more compact representation of large numbers compared to hexadecimal. It has not gained widespread use and is primarily a concept in theoretical mathematics and computer science.
