Dr. Nefario is a character from the "Despicable Me" animated film series. He is a mad scientist and inventor who works for the film's main antagonist, Gru. Dr. Nefario is responsible for creating various gadgets and inventions to help Gru with his evil plans, but he is also shown to be caring and compassionate towards the girls that Gru adopts. Dr. Nefario is voiced by actor Russell Brand in the films.
