Tenses

Tenses are grammatical forms that indicate the time at which an action or state of being takes place. In English, there are three main tenses: past, present, and future. Each tense can be further divided into different forms, such as simple, perfect, continuous, and perfect continuous. Tenses are used to indicate when an action or state of being occurred, is occurring, or will occur. Proper use of tenses is important for clear communication in written and spoken language.
