The main goal of the United Farm Workers (UFW) was to improve the working conditions and wages of farmworkers, as well as to secure better rights and protections for agricultural laborers. One of their greatest successes was the enactment of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Act in 1975, which gave farmworkers the right to collectively bargain with their employers and form unions.
