I want to pursue a career as a nurse because I have a passion for helping others and want to make a difference in people's lives. Specifically, I am interested in becoming a pediatric nurse, as I enjoy working with children and believe that caring for them during times of illness or injury would be incredibly rewarding. To prepare for this career, I plan to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, which will provide me with the necessary knowledge and skills to work in a variety of healthcare settings. Additionally, gaining hands-on experience through internships and volunteering at hospitals or clinics will further enhance my practical skills and understanding of the field. Realistic ways of funding my education include applying for scholarships, grants, and part-time employment to help cover tuition costs. While I am willing to take out some student loans to finance my education, I will carefully consider the amount I can afford to borrow while still being able to manage my finances responsibly.
