Write about how you like this person writing, I believe the conservative ideology emerged in the 1980's as a result of the Cold War and a commitment to an anti-communist position and beliefs. I think there was a desire to strengthen both The U. S. and British economies that were doing poorly. Also, there seems to be a rejection of liberal ideas and their programs in the United States (under President Carter) and in Britain (under Edward Heath). The effects for Reagan at first seemed amazing as the economy started doing better. However, his tax cuts mainly benefited the wealthy, and too much spending on military and related type of spending/expenses. Eventually, when he left office and America's national debt was "in excess of two trillion dollars" (Graham). The effects of Margaret Thatcher's conservative policies were reducing/limiting the power of trade unions, and very harsh economic policies which helped the Crown and the national Treasury but her policies were difficult for the poor of England. The extent of their policies continuing today would be the careful handling of foreign affairs and use of the military, favorable tax cuts/laws for the rich and a continuation of anti-communist ideas.

And write like a fourth grader

I like how this person wrote about the conservative ideology in the 1980s. They said it came about because of the Cold War and a dislike of communism. They also talked about how President Reagan in the U.S. and Prime Minister Thatcher in Britain did things to help their economies but also hurt some people, like the poor. It was interesting to learn about how their policies still affect us today.
