Five components of language

1. Phonology: The study of the sounds used in a language, including how they are produced and perceived.

2. Morphology: The study of the structure of words and how they are formed from smaller meaningful units called morphemes.
3. Syntax: The rules governing the structure of sentences in a language, including word order and grammar.
4. Semantics: The study of meaning in language, including how words and sentences convey meaning.
5. Pragmatics: The study of how language is used in context, including the social and cultural aspects of communication.
