The outcome of the Tehran Conference, held from November 28 to December 1, 1943, was the establishment of a declaration of the Allied Powers' commitment to the defeat of Nazi Germany, the agreement on future military strategy in Europe, and the recognition of the need for post-war peace and security. Additionally, the leaders of the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Soviet Union – Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin, respectively – pledged to continue their collaboration to bring about the unconditional surrender of Germany and to plan for postwar reconstruction and governance.
