After being wounded by Laertes with the poison sword, Hamlet realizes that he is not going to survive for much longer. He then goes on to fight Laertes passionately in a final bout, eventually forcing him to reveal the truth about the trap set by King Claudius. Before dying, Hamlet also manages to kill King Claudius with the poisoned sword and finally fulfills his mission to avenge his father's death.

Hamlet then forces Laertes to admit to the treachery and deceit orchestrated by King Claudius. Before succumbing to the effects of the poison himself, Hamlet also manages to fatally wound King Claudius, finally avenging his father's death.
