What is epistemological

Epistemology is the branch of philosophy that is concerned with the nature and scope of knowledge, how knowledge is acquired, and how belief systems are justified. It essentially deals with questions about what can be known, how we can know it, and what qualifies as knowledge. Epistemology examines the nature of knowledge, justification, belief, and the difference between justified true belief and opinion. It is an important area of study in philosophy because it helps us understand how we come to know things and the limitations of our knowledge.
