Fill the series in range B4:F4 with a linear trend. In excel how to
1. Select cells B4:F4 where you want to fill the linear trend series.
2. Click on the "Formulas" tab in the Excel ribbon.
3. Click on the "Insert Function" button.
4. In the search bar, type "TREND" and press Enter.
5. In the Function Arguments dialog box, enter the known_y's as the range of existing values in your series (for example, B1:F1) and known_x's as the range of corresponding x values (for example, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5).
6. Click OK to apply the TREND function and fill the selected cells with the linear trend series.
