Rickets

Rickets is a condition that occurs in children when they do not get enough vitamin D, calcium, or phosphorus in their diet. This deficiency can lead to weak and soft bones, causing them to bend and deform. Symptoms of rickets can include pain in the bones, muscle weakness, delayed growth, and dental problems. Treatment typically involves increasing intake of vitamin D and other necessary nutrients through diet and supplements. In severe cases, medical intervention may be necessary.
