The first step to writing your paper is to come up with your thesis. Your thesis is your statement of what you believe. A good thesis tells what you believe, sets boundaries on what you will include in your paper, and establishes an organizational order for your arguments.

In William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, the tragic deaths of the star-crossed lovers can be attributed to a combination of factors, but ultimately, it is the impulsive actions of Romeo and Juliet themselves that lead to their demise. While external forces such as Fate, the feuding families, and the misguided Friar play a role in the unfolding tragedy, it is the rash decisions made by Romeo and Juliet that seal their fate.
From the moment they meet, Romeo and Juliet's love is marked by impulsivity and haste. They rush into marriage after only a day of knowing each other, ignoring the consequences of their forbidden love. Romeo's impulsive decision to take his own life upon hearing of Juliet's death sets off a chain of events that leads to their tragic end. Similarly, Juliet's decision to take a potion to fake her own death without fully considering the consequences ultimately leads to both of their deaths.
Through the characters of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare illustrates the destructive power of impulsive love. Their story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of acting on passion without regard for the consequences. Ultimately, it is Romeo and Juliet's impulsive actions that prove to be the most responsible for their untimely deaths.
