-How dependent and independent clauses are used. (Lesson 2)

- Dependent clauses are used in a sentence to add extra information or provide further context. They cannot stand alone as complete sentences and rely on an independent clause to make sense.

Example: After I finish my homework (dependent clause), I will go for a walk (independent clause).

- Independent clauses, on the other hand, can stand alone as complete sentences because they express a complete thought.

Example: I will go for a walk.

- When combined, dependent and independent clauses create complex sentences that convey more complex ideas and relationships between different pieces of information.
