Dolphins are known to dive to depths of up to 300 meters (nearly 1,000 feet), though some species have been known to dive even deeper. The record for the deepest dive by a dolphin is held by a Risso's dolphin, which was recorded to have dived to a depth of over 1,000 meters (3,300 feet).
