Yes, I am sure. Fish and salamanders are both vertebrates, but they are part of different classes (fish are in the class Osteichthyes and salamanders are in the class Amphibia). Their common ancestor would have lived hundreds of millions of years ago and would likely not have had gills and tails as adults.
