How did president Wilson react to the Russian revolution

President Wilson initially expressed support for the Russian Revolution, viewing it as a fulfillment of the principles of democracy and self-determination. However, as the revolution turned into a Bolshevik-led Communist takeover, Wilson became more skeptical and concerned. He feared the spread of communism and its implications for global stability.

Wilson's administration refused to recognize the new Bolshevik government and even sent troops to intervene in Russia during the Allied intervention in the Russian Civil War. Ultimately, Wilson's reaction to the Russian Revolution turned from support to caution and opposition as the Bolsheviks consolidated power and created a communist regime in Russia.
