Latitude:
- The Tropic of Capricorn passes through the northern part of South Africa at approximately 23.5 degrees south.
- The Equator does not pass through South Africa as it is located south of the equator.
- The southernmost point of South Africa is at approximately 34.8 degrees south.
Longitude:
- The Prime Meridian, which is at 0 degrees longitude, does not pass through South Africa as it runs through Greenwich, England.
- South Africa is located between approximately 16 and 32 degrees east longitude.
