National Recovery Administration

The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was a program established by the Roosevelt administration in 1933 as part of the New Deal to help combat the Great Depression. It aimed to stimulate economic recovery by implementing fair competition codes for industries and promoting unionization. The NRA also sought to raise wages, reduce work hours, and eliminate child labor. However, the NRA was eventually deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 1935 and was disbanded.
