Variety is important in a young child's diet because it helps them get all the different vitamins and minerals they need to grow and stay healthy. Eating different foods also helps them learn to like new things and develop good eating habits. If they only eat the same things all the time, they might not get all the nutrients they need and they could get bored of eating the same foods. So it's good to give them lots of different foods to try and enjoy.
