One North Korea action in the 200s that resulted in condemnation by other East Asian countries was the test-launch of ballistic missiles. In July 2006, North Korea test-launched several missiles, including a long-range Taepodong-2 missile which flew over Japanese territory. This action was widely condemned by countries in East Asia, including Japan and South Korea, as well as by the United States and other members of the international community.
