The boundary between two air masses where a warm air mass is replacing a cold air mass is called a warm front. Warm fronts occur when warm, moist air moves into an area previously occupied by cooler, drier air. As the warm air mass moves over the cold air mass, it is forced to rise, leading to the formation of clouds and precipitation.Warm Fronts are shown on weather maps with a solid line that is red colored.
