Using a Variety of Lines

Pick out a subject that you already like to draw. This could be anything form a favorite cartoon character, animals, plants, cars or other subject. Draw the subject that you pick with as many different types of lines that you can. You can use lines such as thick, thin, zig-zag, hatched, cross-hatched, stippled, curved, or wavy.

You can do this project by either drawing the subject several times with different types of lines or use different types of lines within one drawing. Photograph or scan your drawing to be uploaded and submitted for grading.

Here is my drawing of a cat using a variety of lines. I used thin lines for the fur, hatched lines for the background, zig-zag lines for the tail, and curved lines for the ears. I had so much fun experimenting with different types of lines in this drawing!
