The perspective from which events in a story are portrayed is known as point of view. This can be from the perspective of a character within the story (character point of view), a neutral observer outside of the story (narrator point of view), or the person reading or experiencing the story (reader point of view). Each of these perspectives shapes the way events are interpreted and understood by the audience.
