Relationshib between force and momentum
Force and momentum are related by the following equation:
F = d(p)/dt
Where:
- F is the force acting on an object
- p is the momentum of the object
- t is the time
- d(p)/dt is the rate of change of momentum with respect to time
This equation shows that force is equal to the rate of change of momentum. In other words, a force acting on an object will cause its momentum to change over time. The greater the force applied, the greater the change in momentum will be.
