In my simulation, I tried to mimic a situation where a population of rabbits and wolves interacted in an environment with limited resources. I think my simulation did a good job reflecting a scenario that could occur in nature, where predator and prey populations fluctuate based on resource availability.
I believe I was able to draw valid conclusions from the data I collected during the simulation. By analyzing the population dynamics of the rabbits and wolves over time, I was able to see how changes in resource availability impacted their numbers and interactions.
The most challenging part of creating my own simulation was determining the initial parameters and variables to use. I had to consider factors such as birth rates, death rates, and carrying capacity to accurately model the interactions between the two species.
The most interesting part of my simulation was seeing how the predator-prey relationship played out over time. It was surprising to see the cyclical nature of the populations, with peaks and crashes occurring in response to changes in resources.
One way I could have completed this simulation differently is by incorporating more complex interactions and variables. For example, I could have included factors such as competition within the rabbit population or other predators that may impact the wolves. This could have provided a more in-depth and realistic representation of a natural ecosystem.
