Autocracy

Autocracy is a form of government in which a single person or a small group of people hold unlimited power and authority over the state. In an autocracy, the rulers are not accountable to the people and there is no system of checks and balances to limit their power. Autocratic leaders often make decisions without input from the public or other government officials, and they may suppress dissent and opposition in order to maintain their control. Examples of autocratic governments include dictatorships, absolute monarchies, and military juntas.
