Give Alms to the Poor- We donated money to the church of epiphany to support the church. We used to give $4 to the church but now we give $8 so that way it could help them pay their bills and keep doing mass. We also give alms by donating clothes to the Good Will. This helps me understand that giving alms to those in need can help them have a better life, like Jesus for he gave alms to those who are poor and who are in need of help.

Bury the Dead- We visited a cemetery called Cypress Lawn Funeral Home to visit my Mom’s great-grandparents, my great-great-grandparents. Their names were Bertil and Margaret Sandstrom but my Mom called them Poppy and Nanny. when she was young. My mom told me that when her great grandfather was dying, he said that she should come visit her and when my mom visited him, he said that he wanted to let her know that he’ll always love her. I also said a few prayers. This helps me learn that even though our ancestors are not with us anymore, they are still with us in our hearts and in heaven.

Shelter the homeless- I donated 704 huggies wipes to San Leandro where they do Homeless Services, Housing Services, and Domestic Violence Services. San Leandro said that they need baby wipes because not all babies have baby wipes to clean themselves when they’re getting their diapers changed. This helps me understand that when people are suffering in the harsh weather with no shelter or materials to provide them with, it is always good to help them whatever and whenever we can.

Pray for the Living and the Dead- Me and my mom prayed the rosary for the people who are suffering the COVID-19 pandemic especially our neighbors, friends, and family members and other health issues. We also prayed with the our father pray every night as a family. This showed me why we need prayers in our lives because it helps us love other people better and help us grow closer to our lord.

Comforting the Sorrowing- I created a card and a sketch for Joe Bowman who got into a really bad accident. So I made a card so he can feel better and I also created a boombox sketch since he loves music. This showed me that there are a lot of injured people in the world and we should pray for those that are around the world and in hospitals.

Give Alms to the Poor- My family donated money to the Church of Epiphany to support their mission. We increased our donation from $4 to $8 to help them with their bills and continue to hold mass. Additionally, we regularly donate clothes to Goodwill to help those in need. This act of giving alms reminds me of Jesus' teachings about helping the less fortunate.

Bury the Dead- During a visit to Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, we paid our respects to my mom's great-grandparents, Bertil and Margaret Sandstrom, also known as Poppy and Nanny. My mom shared fond memories of them and the love they showed her. This experience taught me that even though our loved ones have passed away, they continue to live on in our hearts and in heaven.

Shelter the Homeless- I donated 704 packs of Huggies wipes to San Leandro, where they provide services for the homeless, housing assistance, and support for domestic violence victims. The organization mentioned the need for baby wipes, as not all infants have access to them. This act of kindness reinforced my understanding of the importance of providing assistance to those in need, especially when it comes to basic necessities like hygiene products.

Pray for the Living and the Dead- My family and I prayed the rosary for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including our loved ones, friends, and neighbors facing health challenges. We also say the Lord's Prayer together every night. These prayers have helped us feel closer to God and connected to those in need of comfort and healing.

Comforting the Sorrowing- I created a card and a sketch for Joe Bowman, who was injured in a serious accident. The card was meant to lift his spirits, and the sketch of a boombox reflected his love for music. This experience reminded me of the importance of showing compassion and support to those going through difficult times.
