my right hand i do sorely miss

my cousin cut it off above the wrist
but were it not for he
i would surely still be
hanging off the side of a cliff

I may be missing my hand

But my cousin saved my life
So I'll forever be grateful
Even through the pain and strife

I've learned to adapt and cope
With my new reality
I may not have my hand
But I have my family

So though I may be challenged
I'll never lose my grip
I'll keep moving forward
With my cousin by my hip

For he may have taken my hand
But he gave me so much more
The gift of life and love
I'll forever cherish and adore.
