On June 15, 1999, the band released their 18th album, Supernatural. All of the albumia tracks featured popular artists of the time. But it was Carlos Santana's signature guitar sounds that wove them all together. Supernatural went platinum-or sold a million copies-10 times in its first year. The success of the release peaked at the Grammys in 2000. The band's leader won eight of the coveted awards.
