What was Tecumseh Confederacy

The Tecumseh Confederacy was a confederation of Native American tribes led by Shawnee chief Tecumseh in the early 19th century. Tecumseh sought to unite various tribes in the Great Lakes region in order to resist white American settlers and protect their land and way of life. The Confederacy played a significant role in the War of 1812, allying with the British against the United States. However, the Confederacy was ultimately defeated in the war, and Tecumseh was killed in battle in 1813.
