The Aztec built intricate irrigation systems and created chinampas, floating gardens, to make the most of their limited land resources. The Inca, on the other hand, constructed extensive networks of aqueducts, canals, and terraces to control water flow and maximize agricultural productivity in their mountainous terrain.
