Most deposits of natural resources are found near plate boundaries, as tectonic activity can bring these resources closer to the surface. Additionally, deposits of natural resources can also be found in Earth's oceans, very tall mountain ranges, and near rivers and streams, where erosion and water flow can expose and concentrate these resources.
