I would say to them, "I see you struggling and I want you to know that it's okay to feel this way. You are not alone in this, and I am here to support you. Remember to be gentle with yourself and show yourself the same compassion and understanding that you would show to a loved one. You deserve to treat yourself with kindness and forgiveness. Take things one step at a time and don't be too hard on yourself. You are doing the best you can, and that is enough."
