It’s time to put on your designer hat. What type of room would you love to have? Here’s a chance to create the room of your dreams. Think about how big the room would be. Consider the furniture, the number of windows, the doorway, etc. You will create a scale drawing of your dream room.

For this portfolio, you’ll answer a few questions and upload a scale drawing of your “dream room.” Make sure that your room includes at least 5 objects. You should use a ruler or straight edge when creating your drawing.

1. What scale did you use to create the scale drawing of your dream room? You'll use this scale to answer the remaining questions. For example: 1 inch = 2 feet

For my dream room, I used a scale of 1 inch = 6 feet.

2. How big is the room in real life? (Length x Width)
In real life, the room would be 24 feet by 18 feet.

3. How many windows are in the room?
There are three windows in the room.

4. How many doors are in the room?
There is one door in the room.

5. What type of furniture is in the room?
The room includes a king-sized bed, a dresser, a desk, a bookshelf, and a bedside table.

Please see attached my scale drawing of my dream room.

do 1 inch = 3 feet

Thank you for letting me know. I will adjust the scale for my dream room to 1 inch = 3 feet.

2. What are the dimensions of your room in your drawing (length of each side measured on the paper, using the scale that you chose in question #1)? If your dream room were to come to life, what would those dimensions be in real-life?(4 points)

In my drawing, the dimensions of the room are:

- Length: 8 inches
- Width: 6 inches

Using the scale 1 inch = 3 feet, the real-life dimensions of my dream room would be:
- Length: 24 feet
- Width: 18 feet

3. What is the perimeter of your room in your drawing (again, using the scale that you chose in question #1)? If your dream room were to come to life, what would the perimeter be?(4 points)

In my drawing, the perimeter of the room can be calculated as follows:

Perimeter = 2(Length) + 2(Width)
Perimeter = 2(8 inches) + 2(6 inches)
Perimeter = 16 inches + 12 inches
Perimeter = 28 inches

Using the scale 1 inch = 3 feet, the real-life perimeter of my dream room would be:
Perimeter = 2(24 feet) + 2(18 feet)
Perimeter = 48 feet + 36 feet
Perimeter = 84 feet
