What are the Vedas?

The Vedas are ancient sacred texts of Hinduism that are considered the oldest scriptures of the religion. They are a collection of hymns, prayers, rituals, and philosophical teachings that were transmitted orally for centuries before being written down. There are four Vedas: Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda, each containing different types of knowledge and wisdom.
