In 3-4 complete sentences answer the following questions about Josh, the narrator of The Crossover.

What was your initial impression of Josh at the beginning of the book? How has Josh's character evolved/developed over the course of the novel? What events of the poem confirmed or changed your opinion of him?

At the beginning of the book, my initial impression of Josh was that he was a talented and confident basketball player, but also somewhat arrogant and self-absorbed. However, over the course of the novel, Josh's character evolves as he grapples with his father's health crisis and his strained relationship with his brother JB. The events of the poem, particularly his father's heart attack and subsequent hospitalization, challenged Josh to confront his emotions and his priorities, ultimately showing a more vulnerable and introspective side to his character. These events confirmed my opinion that Josh was indeed a complex and multidimensional character, capable of growth and change.

At first, I thought Josh was good at basketball but a little boastful. But as the story went on, he had to deal with his dad being sick and his problems with his brother. This made me see that Josh could be sensitive and thoughtful too. I realized he was more than just a talented player, and could change and learn from his experiences.
