Assessment Method: Team research presentation

1. Work as a team to complete this activity.

2. The facilitator will assign one of the following time management principles and practices to your team.

2.1. The 80/20 Rule (Pareto Principle)

2.2. Delegation for time management

2.3. Prioritising techniques for better time management

2.4. SMART goal setting and time management

2.5. Principle of life: work balance

3. The teams in the class should cover research for all the different research topics listed above.

4. Now access the library or the World Wide Web to do research on the topic you were given. (You may also refer to your learner study guide).

5. Study the concept and prepare a brief class presentation (no more than 3 minutes), explaining:

5.1. What the principle is;

5.2. How it is used to improve time management;

5.3. Whether it is a suitable tool / principle to adopt in your quest for improved time management.

6. Once your team has researched and prepared the presentation, each member should take turns presenting their findings to the class. Make sure to include any relevant examples or case studies to support your points.

7. After each presentation, the class can engage in a brief discussion to ask questions or share their thoughts on the topic.

8. At the end of all the presentations, the class can have a group discussion to compare and contrast the different time management principles and practices, and identify which ones they believe would be most effective for their own time management.

9. As a wrap-up, each team can share their overall reflections on the activity and what they learned about time management from researching and presenting on their assigned topic.

10. The facilitator can provide feedback and additional insights on each presentation, as well as summarize the main points discussed during the group discussion.

11. Optional: The facilitator can assign a follow-up activity, such as creating an action plan or setting personal time management goals based on the principles and practices discussed in the presentations.
