What is point of view?

Point of view refers to the perspective or vantage point from which a story is told or a narrative is presented. It is the position or stance of the narrator or character through which events, emotions, and experiences are relayed to the reader or audience. Point of view can be first person (when the narrator is a character in the story and refers to themselves as "I"), second person (when the narrator directly addresses the reader as "you"), or third person (when the narrator is an outside observer and refers to characters as "he," "she," or "they"). Different points of view offer different levels of insight, access to information, and subjective interpretations of events.
