These molecules store the energy that plants need to grow and survive. Oxygen is also produced as a byproduct of photosynthesis.

On the other hand, in respiration, the input is the glucose and oxygen produced during photosynthesis. This is where the stored chemical energy in glucose is released and converted back into usable energy in the form of ATP molecules. Carbon dioxide is produced as a waste product of respiration.

So basically, photosynthesis takes in light energy and produces glucose, ATP, and oxygen, while respiration takes in glucose and oxygen and produces ATP and carbon dioxide. They are like a cycle where the outputs of one process become the inputs of the other, and they are both important for living things to get energy.
