Step follow to write reference of articles

When writing a reference for an article, follow the steps below:

1. Gather necessary information: Make sure you have all the necessary information about the article. This typically includes the author's name, title of the article, name of the publication or journal, publication date, and the page numbers of the article.

2. Start with the author's last name and initials: Begin the reference with the last name of the author, followed by their initials separated by periods. If multiple authors are listed, include all their names in the same order as they appear in the article.

3. Include the publication date: After the author's name, include the publication date of the article in parentheses. Make sure to use the correct format for the date (e.g., year, month day). If the publication date is not available, use "n.d." (no date) or provide the date accessed if it was an online article.

4. Add the title of the article: After the publication date, include the title of the article in sentence case, with only the first word and proper nouns capitalized. Use quotation marks around the title.

5. Provide the name of the publication or journal: After the article title, write the name of the publication or journal in italics or underlined.

6. Include page numbers: If the article is paginated, include the page numbers or range of pages where the article can be found. Use the abbreviation "pp." before specifying the page numbers.

7. Add the digital object identifier (DOI) if available: In some cases, articles published online may have a DOI assigned to them. Include the DOI after the page numbers, preceded by "doi:".

8. Verify the reference format: Double-check the reference formatting to ensure it follows the appropriate citation style you are using (e.g., APA, MLA, Chicago). Different citation styles have specific guidelines for formatting article references.

9. Arrange the reference in alphabetical order: If you are writing a list of references, arrange them in alphabetical order according to the author's last name. If multiple articles are from the same author, arrange them in chronological order.

Remember to consult the appropriate citation style guide or use an online citation generator to ensure accurate and consistent formatting of your article reference.
